The Golden Gateway Tenants Association has proudly accepted a Certificate of Honor from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for its support of the Kids Camps at the Bay Club at the Gateway.
GGTA President Bill Hannan received the certificate at a donors’ luncheon on Oct. 9 at L’Olivier Restaurant. The event honored those who contributed to helping local children from low-income areas to attend summer camps at the Bay Club, the recreation center that serves the Gateway community and beyond.
The certificate reads: “For your significant contribution and steadfast dedication to the Kids Camps Scholarship Program, for your commitment to advancing the educational goals of the families of the City and County of San Francisco, and for your support of community values, the Board of Supervisors extends its highest commendation and congratulations on your community advocacy.”
Gateway resident Lee Radner, chair of Friends of Golden Gateway, tirelessly organizes the scholarship drive each year. In 2016, more than 70 kids attended the camps. To learn more and donate to next year’s camp, either visit the FOGG website or send a check made out to PDF/FOGG, P.O. Box 2294, San Francisco, CA 94126. On the memo line write “2017 Scholarship Fund.”
